After Effects Project 3

Heres the extended version of the Battlestar Galactica Animation Cartoon my brother and I produced.

We added 11 new scenes tothe original file including a space fight sequence to our short animation film.

RTF Animation Project 2: Battlestar

Here is project two for Animation class created by Kris and I. We took several elements from online resources such as pictures available on flickr (masked and edited in photoshop), ship schematics from shipschematics.com, dradis radar video from aestuff.myleniumstuff.de/?tag=dradis, explosion particles from videocopilot.net, and music by Bear McCreary

These elements were composited them together with our own effects in Adobe After Effects. In addition to the techniques we learned in class, we utilized the wiggler, glow, 3d layer, light sources, motion blur, masking to composite multiple layers such as the dradis radar, and particles for the illusion of moving starfighters. After rendering the after effects files, they were edited together with sound effects and music in Sony Vegas.

Project 1 Visual Effects

Inspired by Silent Hill, I decided to produce a dreary and desolate environmental picture to convey a sense of terror and loneliness. This was created by using techniques such as compositing several separate images together, applying a color/saturation grading, and implementing shadows and fog into the image.

Hey all, I'm Alex Cho from Los Angeles,CA and Shanghai, China and I'm an RTF major like most of us all. I've been into digital media, graphics design, and film/ video production for awhile now and I guess my first break was when I got an internship and EPK position at a Shanghai media company when they were in charged of producing an official kind of "china's top model" program called Fashion Star sponsored by Pepsi. After that, I've worked for several other internships at other media companies and have been producing short films for contests and such which won several awards. If anyone ever needs any help, i'd be more than happy to lend a hand.
